Hello everyone here is how levelling up is going to work for this site. Unlike the games which use EXP on these site we just use levels. How many levels you get however depend of the level difference between the pokemon. To work it out is simple you take the member's pokemon lv and then subtract the pokemon it faced's lv from it, the result will determine the level gains. If the result is positive that means the member's pokemon was a higher lv. If it was negative that means the wild or Trainer pokemon they faced was a higher lv. Here are the level gains based on the level difference: Level Difference | Level Gains | 10+ | 1 | 5 - 10 | 2 | 0 - 4 | 3 | -1 - -5 | 4 | -6+ | 5 |
What this means is, the more positive the level difference is, the less levels you get, the more negative the result is, the more levels you get. HOWEVER, to avoid this being super easy there are handicaps at certain lvs. These handicaps are as follows: Lv 20+- Levels are 1/2 of original Lv 40+ Levels are 1/3 of original What does this mean? Well this means the higher your pokemon gets the harder it will be to get levels, just like it does with the games. But don't worry it only means at lv 20+ you need two fights of a 0-4 level difference for 3 levels and at lv40+ you need three fights of 0-4 level difference for 3 levels.
