Dearest Friends.... [Starter]

My dearest friends, I leave you now, but do not weep, and do not fear, I will return. I will return stronger, with a team, to help you, and to help us create a new world. A better world. One where you don't have to fear being caught, where pokemon and trainers can compliment each other, where they are not separated by the divides that so often come between us, even those who would try to bond, and where the cruel, the ignorant, shall not be left in the care of such magnificent beings as to suffer and wither under miscare. And if I cannot do that.... Then I will make it my goal to see all pokemon free where they can forge and live their own lives. I believe in this, it will be a long road, and perhaps one that I cannot do alone, but I believe in this, and I believe that it can be done. That it will be done. This is more then a dream, this is a future, laid before us for those who can dare to pursue it, and so I set my feet upon the path... I leave you now, but only to return a better man, a stronger man, only to forge this dream into a reality... for you, my dearest friends.

Closing his eyes, Zero could replay the scene, the speech, clear as day, his friends, his companions, wild creatures all yet dearer to him then any other, all watching him. It was sorrow to leave them, but he believed and he meant to accomplish all that he said. He would change the world, and he would make it a better place, no matter the cost. Sharp pale-green irises shone again as his eyes opened, the morning sun replacing the slanted afternoon light of memory, Vaniville town replacing the routes just outside of Lumoise. It had not been a far trek, he would return soon enough, but he would go beyond Lumoise. He would go across the region, training, searching, to make his team the strongest they could, to spread his ideas, to see his dream. His steps were a quiet, nearly silent scuff of shoes on pavement, the small town quaint around him, a sleepy thing of barely a dozen houses, yet home to the epicenter of pokemon research in Kalos. The Pokemon Lab where he could receive a starter, where he could start a 'pokemon journey.' Though he was starting so much more then merely some brutish thing used as excuse for kids and teenagers to engage in battle after battle to carve their way through a region for shiny trinkets and nothing more. He would play along, the chance to meet gym leaders would help him understand them, to see how they and their pokemon bonded, as well as test his own companions, but he had so much more in mind, so much more at purpose, then mere badges.

A knock upon the door, and then Zero was moving through the entrance to the lab, the tall lithe young adult flowing through as he stood a moment, sharp gaze flickering around under the brim of hat, studying the room and whoever may have been in it as greeting rippled from his lips. "Good morning, I seek supplies and a companion to begin a journey, if there is opportunity to assist me briefly in this I would be most grateful."
