Name: Zakrius Talokus Melodia
Alias: Zero
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Trainer type: Average
Home Town: Kalos/Lumoise
Appearance: Zero is a rather plain and average figure at first glance, an androgynous male of soft features and, while just on the tall side and lithe, is not much different in build then any other teen or young adult. Yet there is something about him which at a glance captures the attention, the way he talks, the way he holds himself, the way he moves. He's got purpose in his every step, direction in his every movement, he's confident, and endowed with a sense of self-belonging and unbreakable calm that radiates physically from him. He's aware of every part of himself, in harmony with himself, and carries this plainly to see in the straight and tall manner he stands, in the rippling cat-like way he moves, in the smooth way he speaks, in the way his movements always seem natural, even graceful, hinting perhaps that he might have once learned to dance, even the way he holds the gaze of whoever he speaks with strong, evenly, open and accepting but driven. Zero is not afraid to make himself not one to be forgotten, and he brings with himself an energy, an unstoppable inevitable driving force that touches everyone he meets.
That's not to say its merely his manner that makes Zero noticeable though. Fair skinned, he's tall, and athletic, lacking in strength or fat but with a learn runner's form that gives him a willowy feel with long thin limbs and delicate fingers. With gentle features, some might be tempted to label him with a feminine air, and he very easily could be attributed with a feeling of androgyny at first appearances. Most striking, and perhaps the only other reason one might notice him is his hair and eyes, striking jade eyes are paired with paled green hair, long and tied back as smooth wild locks splay in every direction and his ponytail stretches in a mane to the small of his back.
Clothing wise Zero stays casual, allowing his manner and person to give him flair and flavor rather then his dress, pale grey pants and pale green sneakers pairing with white polo shirts and black under-shirts, he tends to wear very little ornamentation with this beyond a loose belt of pokeballs and pouches, and often a watch and sweat-band favoring his left hand. It's not uncommon for a black and white base-ball cap to don his head, though certainly he is not overly attached to it in any manner and comfortable foregoing.
Personality: Zakrius, or Zero as he chooses to go by, is driven, and passionate, to his core. A dreamer, a thinker, and an idealist, he takes a step beyond to try and put his ideals to reality. He's intelligent, and observant, with an open heart and an open mind, above all he cares about the people and pokemon he comes across as individuals and judges by merit, by actions, by accomplishments and character without bias or judgement, but he's also stubborn in his ideas, he never backs down even if it must mean doing something he wished he could avoid if that is how things must go. Sensitive and caring, he truly does wish to learn as much about and respect others as much as he can, and he can be easily hurt by betrayal, and by hard choices, but he refuses to let anything go between him and his goals, driven entirely and completely by his heart and his dreams.
Zero is friendly though, and when given chance to interact with, very charismatic. He has a leader's heart, quick, intuitive, and he understands people easily, almost naturally. He isn't ambitious, but rather he seems to gravitate towards situations, towards actions, that put him guiding others, helping others, taking charge and directing others. He's fond of words, of gracious actions, and while he is the master of friend-zoning and controlling relationships to keep distances beyond mere friends, secretive of his personal life and very reclusive with those truer parts of himself, he is more then happy to always have something inspiring to say, to have some lavish gift to attempt to give, or even just something small, a moment, an experience.
Above all though, Zero cares for pokemon. The friendly ones, the wild ones, the savage monsters and the tame pets, he tries to understand all. He believes in tapping into them, with forming a bond to help them find their true power, their true potential to be what they are, in whatever way that may take them, and he will often take it upon himself to attempt to do this with others as well, attempt to convince them of his ways or interact with their pokemon to understand them directly. Mistreatment, ignorance, and stifling of pokemon potential, these are the things which truly can make an enemy out of Zero, and while he remains civil even cold and burning with rage, he is relentless in his quest to help any and all pokemon, even if that means he must remove them from their current places himself to find them better homes or release them into the wild
History: In Lumoise City Zero knew only wealth and grandeur. His family, were rich, nobles, aristocrats. And thus he was treated to a lavish childhood, their mansion of an estate having several entire rooms private to him as only child and son, maids and servants at his beck and call, and anything he could have possibly wanted made available, any item, any entertainment, and any pokemon. He did not have to know hard work, he was given education but only ever in what interested him, and with only the finest of tutors and teachers, he was raised a gentlemen, a posh richboy trained to inherit his families estates and manage them, to live and deal in wealth.
Yet... it wasn't enough. It didn't satisfy. A room full of trains and toys did not excuse the lack of friends. Seeing rare exotic pokemon caught and brought to him against their will hurt Zero, made him feel bad for them, pain for them, their agony, their need to be free physical and painful to him, enough so that he would always sneak out to free them into the wilderness again. He was a lonely child with no friends, no true companions, the only pokemon not wild creatures dragged against their will tamed and docile things all but stripped of personality to become obedient. Was this really all there was to these fantastic beasts? Was his life meant to be alone in the walls of this castle of a mansion?
Zero wondered. And Zero wandered. At night he traveled the city, marveling the wonders, and disgusted by the filth, the trash, the sewers and their poor, the feral pokemon and the subverted ones. He gave what he could to the beggers and the homeless he came across, and he tried to feed the ferals, most too dangerous or too wary to approach but most all starving, down on their luck and in the world of life.
More then that though, Zero spent his time in the woods, on the routes, sitting in the grass, reading under the trees, watching the trainers often with distaste and studying the wild pokemon with fascination and interest. He was still a boy when he first began trying to approach the wild creatures, when he first became enthralled with wild pokemon, their grace, their freedom, their strength. Some might have said he was lucky not to get hurt, lucky not to be killed, but he had faith and trust. He always has, he believes in his purpose. And he knew his purpose was linked with these creatures, not with the ones he knew at home, but the ones out here. The ones at home had been taken from this, or had been broken. It was wrong, unnatural.
Here though they lay in all their untapped potential and all their wild glory. Zero saw this, and Zero knew this was beauty. And perhaps, together, they could be even stronger. He made friends in the woods, in the wild pokemon, in the beasts and creatures roaming the routes. He grew to knew them, grew to spend time with them. But he was patient. For a time he respected his families wishes to study, he did not rush to a pokemon adventure when he could. He studied, he learned, using his teachings to try and shape himself and ready himself. He pored himself into the pokemon and into the studies, he was a charmer with people but distant, rarely spending time among others beyond his tutors and servants. He didn't need to though, they were distractions, they were unimportant. What was important was he prepare in his mind, nothing else. He studied studiously, and then when he found himself his young adulthood, he broke from his family.
There was surprise, yet Zero's parents would pass it off as youthfulness driving him to a foolish pokemon adventure, that he would come back after he was done,t hat he would take the mantle and handle affairs. He had no such intentions, his mind was on bolder things, greater things, on an ideal he had been shaping nearly all his 19 years of life. One of the ideal world, the world of pokemon.
Goals: Understanding and helping others understand pokemon to bring out the true potential of them
